Mike Alstott Indicates Career Likely Over

A sad day for us Buc fans who rooted for them throughout the years, especially during their Super Bowl winning year. Mike Alstott has said he is likely going to retire. He has not officially said he is, but nothing in the article posted at TampaBay.com would lead anyone to think otherwise. I hope Mike and his family all the best, you were a great player in my book.

Alstott indicates career likely is over
Bucs fullback Mike Alstott hasn't formally announced anything yet, but he indicated on a local radio show Wednesday morning his playing career is over.Asked about his future while promoting a charity event on WDAE 620-AM, Alstott made it clear he has no plans to undergo a second neck operation in order to play next season.
"I guess you can read between the lines,'' Alstott said. "I have a young family and a life to live, and I can't be selfish and go have some kind of surgery and try to fix the thing. I'm happy just hanging out with my family.
Asked if a second operation would make it possible for him to resume his playing career, Alstott said, "it wouldn't be worth it.''During a tearful news conference in August, Alstott announced that he had suffered a second neck injury that would force him to go on injured reserve, ending his season. He stopped short of saying that the injury could end his 12-year career with the Bucs.
Alstott, 33, had a compressed disc removed and replaced with the vertebrae from a cadaver in 2003. A titanium plate was used to fuse it together.
He said a battery of tests this past fall revealed there was stress to his neck above the previously injured area. Pittsburgh nuerosurgeon Dr. Joe Maroon, who performed Alstott's first surgery, advised him not to play. After consulting with team trainers, doctors, his family, general manager Bruce Allen and coach Jon Gruden, Alstott agreed the best course of action was for him to be placed on injured reserve.

Nicolas Sarkozy & Carla Bruni

I read on the news that French President Nicolas Sarkozy has hooked up with Carla Bruni. I saw a couple press pictures of them together and have to say she piqued my interest. I did a little research and was wowed. Carla Bruni is smoking hot!! When was the last time you saw a world leaders significant other and was totally wowed by her. So I posted a few pics of her. Enjoy.

More to come later.

Congrats LSU

Once again Ohio State decides not to show up for the biggest bowl of the year and let LSU walk all over them. I can't totally blame Ohio State, LSU is a really good team. I was hoping for a good game, and got a blowout again. Oh well, let's hope the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl are good games.
Party on Girls, you're national champions!!

Happy Birthday Elvis!!!

Ohio State vs. LSU

Tonight is the big game for college football fans. Will OSU redeem themselves for their craptacular performance in last years championship? Will LSU show that they can beat them as bad as Florida did? We find out tonight. So who are you going for:
OSU
LSU
LSU
OSU
OSU

LSU

You make the call. I will say it is a lot easier to find LSU babe pics than OSU. Which is really sad. I used to live in Columbus and saw first hand the babes that go to OSU, so I know they are there. Come on Buckeyes, get some pictures posted.

NFL Playoffs or Go Buccaneers!!!

The NFL Playoffs start again tonight. For the Saturday games I'm hoping the Jaguars, they are one of the teams I think can knock off the Patriots, and the Seahawks pull out wins. For Sunday I'm hoping for the Chargers to pull out a win, once again another team I think has a chance to beat the Patriots. Of course over in the NFC anyone who knows me knows I'm hoping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win over the Giants. The Giants are probably my most despised team in the NFL. I'm not sure why, I hate to see them win any game period. The Giants are coming into the game beat up, they lost three starters last week. They had a real good showing against New England last week, they also led the league in sacks this year. The young Tampa Bay offensive line are going to have their hands full. The most experienced lineman is out with injury, the next is two in their second year. That's good for the future, but not always good in the playoffs. That line also gave up 14 sacks in the last four games. I hope Jeff Garcia has his scrambling shoes on. Speaking of Jeff Garcia, he now has a chance to beat the Giants in the playoffs as a member of three different teams. I hope he keeps the magic going. I think Tampa Bay will do well against the beat up Giants, they rested their starters while NY was trying to knock off New England. GO BUCCANEERS!!!

Now for the good stuff, CHEER BABES!!!

Fat Dragon Games 2008 Preview

Over at the Fat Dragon Games Forums Tom posted a little preview for us. Looks like he has some exciting stuff coming out along with teasing us with some news of some deals he has in the works. He dropped a little hint, and you'd better be ready to make those sanity rolls. Here is Tom's post, read it here or head over to the forums and check it out.

Hey all-I'd like to thank everyone for making 2007 such a fantastic year for all of us at Fat Dragon Games. This past year has seen our small company grow faster than I ever could have imagined, and I can't tell you how much your continued support means to me and the rest of the crew.
What can you expect to see from us in 2008? Well, we'll be continuing to expand our 2D and 3D fantasy terrain catalog (we've got over 18 new releases planned), more Hollow Earth Expedition goodness is in the works with the fine people over at Exile Games Studio, and a few new products like paper miniatures that feature a new twist...customization! Sci-fi fans who have been waiting patently for some new sets from us will not be disappointed, we have several sets nearing completion and I expect to have preview pics posted here before the end of the month.
In addition to expanding our existing lines, we'll be delving into some new territory as well. It's too early to give any specific details but we are expanding our product lines to cover more wargames in the coming year. There are also a few deals in the works with other game companies that I hope to be able to make public in the next month or two.
Finally, I want to wish all of you a happy and safe 2008. I cannot express how much I have enjoyed getting to know many of you over the last two years, both online and at the various conventions we attend. Your friendship means the world to me and is the greatest part of this business.
All my best,
Tom
P.S. I'll drop one more hint about 2008....CTHULHU!
