Mutants & Masterminds Most Famous Heroes

Back in June I posted a picture from an online RPG I play in called Most Famous Heroes using the Mutants & Masterminds 1.0 rules. Our GM pointed out a couple weeks ago that we have been going for over a year now. That is awesome. The game is set in the Marvel Universe. The concept is we are an American Idol type team that an audience has picked and every move is televised. The original team is pictured in a drawing by yours truly in the 6/29 post. The team was Click (a flying strong heroine), Wonder Man, Grasshopper (armored insect hero), Spider (Spider-Man clone), Painkiller (a gun toting loose cannon on the team), Mindshadow (intangible mind controller), and Shadowflux (magnetic controller).

Mission 1: Terrorizing the Terrorists

The first mission was supposed to be a warm up to go take out a terrorist cell in South America. What no one knew was this terrorist cell was teamed up with AIM and they had a nasty surprise, an Arsenal robot. The teamed swooped in for the attack; Grasshopper was immediately hit with an RPG rocket and killed. The terrorist scientists activated Arsenal and sent it after the heroes. Wonder Man and Click both hit it with not much effect. Shadowflux fried his circuits with one shot. This set off a fail safe program that even AIM didn’t know about, the robot would turn itself into a black hole and wipe out everything. Mindshadow ended up doing a super heroic thing and combining with the computers controlling Arsenal and gave his life to stop it. The remaining heroes mopped up the rest of the terrorists. Shadowflux flew off feeling guilty for setting off the black hole program and inadvertently causing the death of a teammate. After the mission Spider was voted off by the audience for being ineffective, although her and Click remained friends. Click also made sure that Mindshadow’s family was taken care of and that his memory was honored.

With the deaths and team members leaving this made vacancies on the team.

Next up Mission 2.
